#BersamaBerdaya challenges a movement to strengthen Indonesian migrant domestic workers in Singapore

#BersamaBerdaya: A Movement to Lift Each Other Up Across many communities, countless women continue navigating life with limited access to education, economic opportunities, and essential skills. With unstable financial conditions and few pathways for change, many feel stuck in place, trying to move forward without the support they need.

But from community learning journeys, including the stories of Indonesian migrant women finding empowerment through programs like Aidha, we know one thing for sure: when someone is given the chance to learn and surrounded by a supportive community, change becomes possible. And that change spreads. This is the spirit behind #BersamaBerdaya.

Why This Campaign Exists #BersamaBerdaya was created to open more pathways toward independence. Not short-term assistance, but long-term support that helps someone stand stronger through training, mentoring, tools, and a safe space to grow. Each challenge in this campaign invites us to share inspiration, expand access, and encourage more people to take a brave step forward. Through this collective movement, we can spark change that is simple, real, and meaningful.

What Organisers Will Gain For the 7 shortlisted applicants, each challenge offers an opportunity to: engage directly in empowering migrant communities, expand networks with volunteers and social partners, receive a prize grant of up to 500 SGD, plus an additional up to 2,000 SGD for the top 3 Duta Berdaya, and document their journey and impact through creative work (social media content). More importantly, they become part of a movement that amplifies real stories and real hope.
