Beneran Indonesia is a civic and character education platform that serves the following purposes:
 1. Provide a meeting point for students from different backgrounds to learn to work together, be productive and contribute to their society.
 2. Teach an engaging civic education to equip citizens with knowledge, skills, and character needed to participate and contribute to the wellbeing of their fellow citizens.
 3. Promote Pancasila as a unifying ideology that is still relevant to unify a diverse Indonesia and as a guide to identify and address intolerant, radical and violent attitudes and behaviors.
 
Indonesia is currently facing these giant challenges
 - Demographic bonus: This phenomenon can be a two edged-sword that brings benefit or disaster to the nation if the youth generation is not well prepared both in skills and character.
 - Segregated Schools: There has been a rise of a growing religious discrimination in Indonesian public schools. This condition, combine with the raising numbers of private schools, has been causing students from minority backgrounds to opt for private schools where they are less likely to face discrimination. Furthermore, students from Christian and Catholic background are rarely found in public schools. Hence, even though there is no institutionalized segregation in Indonesian education system, but students become more and more segregated due to the aforementioned condition.
 - Poor Citizenship: There is a need of civic education that not only promotes tolerance but good citizenship which emphasize on contribution and participation in promoting the wellbeing of Indonesia. Unfortunately, civic education in Indonesia is still being viewed as one of the most irrelevant and boring subjects by students. Pancasila as unifying State Ideology is no longer considered relevant. The void creates new opportunities for new ideologies to rise, such as radicalism and extremism
 
We aimed towards young citizens aged 15-35 which is includes senior high school students, university students, and young professionals.
 
Beneran Indonesia started as a movement in November 18, 2017 but legally registered in May 11, 208. 
 
Beneran Indonesia uses service learning, game-based learning, and gamification to deliver all our values and lessons in fun, relevant, and engaging way.
