CIMSA is raising public awareness of the impact of air pollution on children’s health, and the importance of clean and fresh air for a healthy future—which is their right as human beings and as a movement to reduce polluted air.

To produce a plan of action in solving air pollution, CIMSA, representing youth, had a discussion on the issue through ‘The Air We Breath’ event held by U-Report by UNICEF, Vital Strategies, and Bappenas last July.
CIMSA got to share their own point of views on how youth could be involved in facing this emergent problem.

Forest and land fire become recurrent phenomena in Indonesia. Mineral and peat fires are burning millions of hectares, mostly in the provinces of Riau, South Sumatra, Jambi, Cenntral Kalimantan, West Kalimantan and Papua. Haze disrupts lives, costs the governments billions of dollars for dealing with its impacts, and leaves millions of people at risk of respiratory and other diseases. 
On 12-15 August 2018, CIMSA has conducted an Environmental Education about haze issues and its impacts for students in Kabupaten Siak.

Through this project, we hope more students could implement the right way to decrease exposure of haze itself and benefit their health. Also, don’t forget to swipe left for more information!
