Acid Violence is a phenomenon not restricted to a particular country, religion or gender. It maims the victim physically, psychologically, socially, and economically. Every survivor is left to lead a life worse than death. It is important to bring about awareness and provide knowledge that will help curb these attacks and reduce the pain and helplessness of survivors.  We as Tagoreans, recognize that this violence in India targets women more than men, and the reason is often spurned love. The youth of today need to understand that this is no way to express love.  This is the mission of our project. We aim to bridge the gap between survivors and society, as most survivors are forced to isolate themselves for fear of shame. All survivors have the right to live with dignity and respect.
