Did you know that 796,000 tonnes of food was dumped in 2013? Some of which could have been salvaged to feed the many underprivileged who go hungry on a very regular basis.&nbsp;This is why Food Bank Singapore is launching the Foodrescuesg campaign. We wish to raise a petition against food wastage and take a stand against dumping food that is still edible. Regardless if it&rsquo;s cooked food, frozen food, or packaged food, these food deserved to be given a new lease of life instead of ending up in the dumpster or incinerator.&nbsp;Since food is such a precious resource to our tiny island, we hope to encourage a change in the dumping policies of many large companies by telling them to consider donating before dumping.&ldquo;Why bin it when you can still eat it? &ldquo;Join us in taking a stand against DUMPING FOOD that is still edible.For every pledge received, Campaign.com will donate 1 canned food to Food Bank Singapore (with a maximum of 500 canned food items).How To Join:1.
