To fight underage marriage through the formation of educational savings for children in Magelang.

Kabupaten Magelang has a staggering number of child marriage. There were 1,972 (16.7%) child marriage cases last year. This number is 6 times worse than Yogyakarta—province closest to Kabupaten Magelang—which recorded 312 cases. There are around 120,000 (11.23%) people who live under poverty with 7.57 years of education on average. This rate are worse than Indonesia’s 9.66% and 8.17 years respectively altough Indonesia government has regulation that obliged all citizens to get at least 12 years of formal education. Study showed that parents who can’t afford high education level for their children due to low economic background tend to marry their young children to cut household expenses. This condition will produce other low educated young parents, which leads to economical constraints because they don’t have opportunities on better jobs. Therefore, the education level of their next generation most likely will remain low and the vicious cycle continues. So we come up the with idea to create unique educational saving system for all Raos partners so their future generation will get higher education to terminate child marriage. Raos is a traditional foods seller which located in Kabupaten Magelang, Indonesia. Since April 2019, we work to strengthen the existence of Magelang traditional foods, partnering with most talented mothers who run micro (or small) scale business to provide the best traditional foods and deliver to wider market range nationally. Raos value is “Healthy Premium Local Product”. Raos has an aim to promote local signature in the form of food. We serve the masterpiece of Magelang with best quality food product made from local cassava without any preservatives, chemical colouring, or MSG. We also use coconut oil for our product. Healthy lifestyle increases in this decade and so the following as the consequence of the increasing of health awareness in the society. It also reflects on the way they choose what they are going to consume, including the snacks. Our main customers are tourists visiting Borobudur. In the last 6 years, the number of our potential customer increases 483,834 (12.5%) with average growth of 2.6% per year. To conduct the market size, we use the data of Borobudur visitor in 2018. There are 3.8million visitor (domestic and international visitor). With this number, predicted that there are 1.178 million visitors aged 25-45 years old. Then, Raos targeted 3% from the total market share. So, there are at least 35.340 people will buy Raos’ product in a year. This number positively will grow since the government still working to make a better access to Magelang and will be ready at the end of 2020 and they targeted there is an increasement 6 times higher for the international visitors. In the end of 2020, we expected could have a larger access to national market through online. In 5 years, we plan to be able to export our product in global market.
