CINEMAWITHOUTWALL is an International Film Lab that gathers young filmmakers around the world to experiment and create solutions with movies.

Looking at the diversity and complexity of Indonesia and other ASEAN countries, movies are proven to be the best media for communication, campaign, and advancing discussions around difficult & sensitive topics. Thus, let's produce movies to make good impacts!

Our first Film Lab Festival will be held in Bali for a week with 100 young filmmakers around the world, 5-11 August 2019. The goal is to produce at least 10 movies that captures local life & wisdom with a theme "LOCAL IS THE NEW LUXURY".

After production, filmmakers together with locals and other stakeholders will watch the movie outdoor, exchange feedbacks, before movies go on roadshow for a year to wherever we can reach: home to nature, private to public, indoor to outdoor. The more space, the bigger impacts!

We partnered up with Blue Bear Bali to promote positive thinking "TIDAK MASALAH" or "It doesn't matter" through art (music, theatre and film) and had a little session explaining about CINEWAW to audiences.

Launching teaser to public!

We partner up with ISI Denpasar film students to make this biggest Film Lab in Indonesia happen. 

A web developer from New Zealand will also help making us a website.

We also had good news from Assozione Culturale CinemadaMare Italia that they will support and join in 2020 for a longer exploration: 1 month and hundreds of filmmakers!
