Unifarm is a digital financial platform that focuses on funding of agriculture capital through crowdfunding with profit sharing as the return model. Unifarm positions itself as a bridge between farmers and investors. While farmers get capital fund, investors will get return from their investment. The period of load tenure is 1 – 2 years, depending on the agreement between the farmer and the investor. With capital funding that is paid using profit sharing model, Unifarm will take 5 % of the farmer’s profit after he/she uses the capital from the investor. Through this platform, Unifarm hopes that farmers can develop their farming business, produce high quality farm products, earn proper money, and live prosperously. We aspire to be a platform in the forefront of social movement that helps farmers in villages to get capital investment thus they can develop their farming business."

Capital is often an obstacle for a farmer to do his farming business. Limited capital also makes the quantity and quality of the results obtained by farmers not optimal. There are several institutions that can actually provide capital for farmers who need it, but its nature is a loan. The government through state-owned banks has provided facilities through credit. However, according to Saputra (2003) in his research at the Indonesian Center for Agricultural Technology Research and Development on the accessibility of small farmers to credit sources, small or poor farmers have many obstacles to accessing capital to formal institutions such as banks. Based on data from the 2016 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas), it states that only 15% of farmers access credit at banks. There are credit problems through banking that are felt by farmers, such as bureaucratic procedures, high risks, and high interest rates.

With the presence of Unifarm, we provide opportunities for farmers in the form of capital financing to develop their farming business so that farmers are able to increase the quality and quantity of their production.
