Kolam Village is located in Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. Demographic data in 2000 reported that there where approximately 6968 residents in Kolam Village who majorly worked as farmer and stockfarmer. This village is also known as one of the primary areas in North Sumatra which produces cassava. The villagers normally sell the cassava as raw mayerial or as fermented cassava (known in Bahasa Indonesia as Tape).

1. Organizing trainings and workshops to improve the villager's skills in cultivating fermented cassava products so that more products with longer endurance and sale price will be created 
2. Training and assistance in packaging development
3. Training and assistance in promotion and marketing either offline or using online media such as FB  Ads, Instagram Ads, etc
4. Training and assistance in improving the hygiene of production process
5. Designing brand and marketing media 
6. Organizing the declaration of Kolam Village as the center of agribusiness (edutourism and ecotourism)
7. Assisting in product process video recording, in Tape product variants, in license application (IUMK, Halal MUI, IRT, and BPOM), and in certificate application (HKI, trade certification or Simple Paten)
8. Assisting and coaching home industry community and human resourcing management in Kolam Village
9. Building a website as a medium of promotion and promoting the products on printed mass media.
10. Assisting the community to join the exhibitions or fairs.

This program is to support people in Kolam Village to be a more independent society which eventually can increase their wellbeing. Together with Badan Usaha Milik Daerah (known in English as Village Owned Enterprise) Karya Bersama, this program aims to not only support the improvement of the quality life of people in Kolam Village through education but also assisting the villagers in maximizing the production of home manufacture fermented cassava. It is expected that the program will make Kolam Village as a center of agribusiness particularly in fermented cassava products, which can also be a tourist village in North Sumatera Province.
