Food problems become focus for many countries. In 2030, world will be predicted facing hunger problem seriously that is caused by climate change and population growth massively. Indonesia as an agrarian country that relies on the agricultural sector as the state income. 

One of the biggest problems in agriculture is food loss (for production) and food waste (for consumption). FAO (2011) reveals that around one third or 1.3 billion ton food industry the world does not end in our plate! Moreover, based on Sustainable Index 2018 Indonesia is the bottom 10 country in the rank (60 of 67). This problem will cause economy loss, food security, as well as environment damage. 

First of all, the first issue food losses are a thret for food security. Indonesia ranks 73 out of 119 qualifying countries. Indonesia has a score of 21.9, it means that Indonesia suffers from a level of hunger that is serious based on 2108 the Global Hunger Index Report. 

Secondly, food losses cause economic damage. In global calculation, food losses reach one trillion dollars every year. Furthermore, the value of the loss  is not included the environment damages which are atmosphere, air, and biodiversity. Full Cost Accounting (FCA) shows that the environmental costs was obtained reaching 700 billion USD and the social costs reaching 900 billion USD (FAO 2014).

The last, food losses contribute 8% of greenhouse emission or 3.3 Gtonnes of CO2 equivalent and based on the blue water footprint (i.e.  ground-water resources and the consumption of surface) of food wastage is about 250 km3, as well as impact to biodiversity such as mammals, birds, fishes, and herpetofauna. 

Tanipanen is a social enterprise which wants to take a role in solving the problem. Tanipanen help farmers to distribute imperfect, ugly including dicoloration, size, scratch, asymmetry, or surplus agriculture products both fruits and vegetables. We also process the product such as a juice several fruits that are called tapani. Our goals are (1) to increase farmer’s income, (2) to solve hunger issue, (3) to solve environmental impacts, (4) to develop sustainable agriculture, as well as to contribute SDG’s goals such as (2) no hunger, (8) good jobs and economic growth, (12) responsible consumption, (13) climate action, and (16) life on land. Beside that we also want to train farmers in West Java regrading postharvest management and digital agribusiness.

​It's a wrap! Acara dimulai dengan Akbar Ghaus yang menyampaikan Covid-19 tinjauanya secara medis. Apa saja tantangan para tenaga medis. Selain itu, calon dokter yang aktif sebagai fitness spesialis juga menyampaikan mengenai tips berolah raga selama masa di rumah aja. Pembicara kedua, Rizky Emirdhani Utama, atau akrab disapa Emir, menyampaikan bahwa kesadaran masyarakat saat ini masih tergolong rendah terhadap bahaya Covid-19. Menurutnya, selama bekerja sebagai relawan, kebutuhan yang mendesak adalah peralatan pelindung medis, bahan sembako buat masyarakat yang terkena dampak PSBB. Hal tersebut juga dibenarkan oleh Langga Pratama, sebagai bagian CSR Human Initiative. Menurutnya masyarakat selain di rumah saja, tapi juga jangan sampai abai dengan kondisi mereka yang membutuhkan di luar sana. Sesi terakhir, disampaikan oleh Laeli Nurhasanah, menurutnya memenuhi gizi di masa pandemi ini hal yang penting. Itu karena imunitas menjadi kunci kekuatan melawan Covid-19.&nbsp; Semua materi dan sesi tanya jawab berlangsung lancar. Terima kasih semua pembicara dan peserta. Perjalanan masih panjang. Tapi berapapun dukungan dari Pahlawan Panen untuk mengikuti challange, ini sangat berarti buat tim tanipanen.

Satu hal yang ingin selalu kami ulang-ulang kembali, setiap langkah kecil adalah awal perubahan besar. Cuma dari selembar daftar belanja, kita sebenarnya sudah memastikan untuk tidak menghasilkan food waste di dapur kita.

Banjir besar terjadi di Jabodatek, ada 67 orang meninggal dunia dan lebih dari 30 ribu jiwa mengungsi.  Di sisi lain bumi, tepatnya di Australia, kebakaran hebat terjadi hingga menyebabkan kebakaran mencapai lebih dari 5 juta hektar dan kurang lebih 480 juta satwa menjadi korban.

Resolusi: 2020 For Saving Our Planet

Changemakers, kamu sering ambil makan berlebih lalu enggak habis? Apa kamu tahu kalau itu salah satu tindakan food waste? Nah, permasalahan food waste ini sudah menjadi salah satu penyakit akut di Indonesia. Enggak heran kalau di tahun 2016-2017, The Economist menyatakan bahwa Indonesia menjadi negara terbesar kedua setelah Arab Saudi yang menghasilkan food waste dan food loss di dunia. 

Meski dianggap sepele, sebenarnya permasalahan ini punya dampak negatif yang sangat besar loh! Soalnya, makanan yang terbuang itu menjadi limbah dan menghasilkan karbon dioksida (CO2) dan metana yang berbahaya bagi tubuh! Aduh! Kondisi ini menjadi ancaman serius bagi produksi dan keamanan pangan.

Sampai saat ini, pengaruh lifestyle dan rendahnya kesadaran untuk enggak menyisakan makanan masih jadi faktor paling berpengaruh. Tanipanen is a social enterprise which wants to take a role in solving the problem. We also process the product such as a juice several fruits that are tapani.

Our impact can be achieved if we do together and start from now and small actions. We strongly believe that together we can help farmers and save the nature.

Tanipanen is a social enterprise which wants to take a role in solving the problem. Tanipanen helps farmers to distribute imperfect and ugly of agriculture products both fruits and vegetables including dicoloration, size, scratch, asymmetry, lack of market or surplus.

Our team came from different background and fields, they are:

Whisnu Febry Afrianto as Chief Executive Officer, Whisnu has experiences working in various fields such as university, government research institute, conservation NGO, and organic certification organization. In 2017, he received The Woodruff and Maxwell awards for the young researcher (ATBC-AP, Xishuangbanna). He graduated from Master of Conservation of Tropical Biodiversity in IPB University and bachelor from Universitas Gadjah Mada.

Indriyani Rayahu, as Chief Operational Officer, Previously, Indri worked as a facilitator and inspector in the organic agriculture sector. She had to facilitate +100 farmers in 4 provinces. Moreover, she had experiences in several agriculture training such as training for export in agriculture, PIRT, facilitator and Inspector for organic farming. Indri graduated from bachelor degree majoring animal husbandry in Padjajaran University. 

Veski Zunius, as Chief Marketing Officer, after graduated from bachelor degree majoring animal husbandry in IPB University, Veksi worked in digital marketing in hotel and managed +10 healthy seminars as well as training. Veksi was also working closely with farmers as a facilitator for organic village projects.

No we are looking for partnership with farmers from Bogor and Cianjur. In October 2018, Tanipanen won 1st place in an idea startup competition in 2018 that was held by YAI Persada University.

To reach our impact we need collaboration from all parties such as Investors, other startups focus on agricultural sector, farmers, government organizations, environment NGO's or organizations, urban farming and greening movement communities.
