Are you ready for some exciting news? We've finally selected the top 5 Organizers for theΒ Government Relations Development Programme for Indonesian Social Leaders (GRDP-ISL) after interview sessions with the participants a couple of weeks ago!
So, who made it to the top 5? Letβs take a closer look:
1. YAYASAN SATU KARSA KARYA (YSKK):
YSKK is a Non-Governmental Organization that was born on May 12, 2001, in Surakarta, Central Java. They have dedicated themselves to being an essential part of critical and solutive national development. Their focus is on working "for and with" marginalized and powerless communities, particularly women and children. Through their efforts, they aim to empower these communities, ensuring they fulfill their basic rights. YSKK has made a significant impact, with ongoing programs in 7 provinces, 21 districts/cities, 90 villages, 394 schools, and 61 women's cooperatives.
2. PetaBencana.id:
PetaBencana.id is an incredible platform that provides real-time disaster mapping using crowdsource reports collected through social media, validated by government agencies. Their platform is designed to be lightweight and seamlessly interoperable with instant messaging and social media applications. This approach allows communities with limited resources, institutions with technical constraints, and individuals with simple means to effectively report and respond to disasters. PetaBencana.id empowers these groups, ensuring they understand and utilize disaster reporting systems without extensive training or expensive resources.
3. CarbonEthics:
With a mission to restore climate balance, CarbonEthics pioneers nature-based solutions, particularly in blue carbon conservation. Originally established as a not-for-profit organization, CarbonEthics has expanded into a Social Enterprise, providing various climate solutions. They offer services such as carbon emission calculation, carbon policy and advocacy, and climate-friendly travel. By combining their expertise and innovative approach, CarbonEthics is leading the way towards a more sustainable future.
4. Yayasan PADMI:
Yayasan PADMI was founded by seven individuals with diverse backgrounds and extensive professional experience in conservation, partnerships, marketing, finance, and technology. Acting as anchors, creators, and movers, these founders played a crucial role in PADMI's journey. The organization's primary goal is to support the government in creating independent villages with physically and mentally healthy, prosperous communities and sustainable natural conditions. With their expertise and dedication, Yayasan PADMI is making a lasting impact on society.
5. Garis Hitam Project:
The Garis Hitam Project is an inspiring social business that empowers female convicts and ex-convicts. They provide comprehensive support, including learning, mentoring, and training, to help develop the potential of these women and foster an entrepreneurial spirit. Additionally, the project raises awareness about the discrimination faced by female convicts and ex-convicts.
