Our goals is to empower women in Parewetana, Central Sumba, as an action to fight domestic violence, child malnutrition, and high rate of migration that often lead to human trafficking. We also want to collaborate with them to promote sustainable tourism industry to maintain healthy environment in the tourism area by producing eco-friendly products that will help people or company to be eco-conscious. By this, not only we increase women participation in improving family livelihood quality, but also ensure that less plastic waste will go to the ocean and pollute our tourism areas. As our long term goal, we want to develop the village to become a tourist destination village. The village will become a crafts making centre with its own gallery as the craftswomen showroom. The villagers will apply wasteless and eco friendly management system to ensure that the tourism industry they run is sustainable. They will have restaurant and guest house that are managed by their own people. This will become the new source of income for the villagers.
