We are Setara Apparel, a Jakarta based slow fashion line created with good purposes; * Empowering and celebrating the diversity in all woman kind while challenging status quo and the conventional beauty standards. We do believe that we all are beautiful, no matter what what sizes our jeans are. * Contributing on reducing the environmental impact caused by fashion industry. * Telling stories of traditional tales that represents by our traditional fabrics. And try to shout it out loud through beautiful ready to wear clothing that’s designed and made to last. Our team consists of 3 woman who stand for other woman: * Widya Rahayu : Creative director and Founder * Sonita Anggarwati : Content creator and social media manager * Danielle Rosalie : Fashion Designers * Fitri Dwi Arini : Business Partnership and Relations. We dedicate our best efforts to serve our purposes of being by committing to few constant actions: * We try to produce clothing that fit all sizes. From petite to plus sizes. * We try to use our social media as more than just a promotional platform, we craft contents that speak out loud about woman’s topic and self love. * We try to conduct training for disabled kids in fashion and digital skills so they have a chance to compete and roar in the world. We are blessed with this opportunity because one of our core team, Arin. still actively serving as a teacher for children with disabilities in Solo. * Our hang tags, labels, packaging and most of our branding appliances are made using our production wastes. But of course, we keep them beautiful and captivating. * We cut the middle man in our materials sourcing process. We buy fabrics directly from the fabrics crafters; and they all are woman, in remotes areas across Indonesia. We ensure that all of our materials are handmade, naturally dyed and all patterns tell traditional tales. Most importantly, we do ensure that all of our fabrics maker receive decent pay. We do believe we deserve the opportunity to be chosen because we share the common goal on being more than just entrepreneurs, but being entrepreneurs who leave impacts.
