It's a wrap for day 1! It's really a pleasure for Papon to be accepted as 10 finalists of Young Changemakers Social Enterprises (YCSE) Academy. And today, was the first day of the bootcamp. Curious what did we do during the first day? Let us tell you! We did learn so much about Social Enterprises in the first day. It was started with Pretest, and then Mini Presentation. The Mini Presentation was challenging. We were given one minute to do a presentation, and then, our presentation was seen by some representatives from US Embassy. After the Presentation, there was a mini exhibition. All the Social Enterprises sat on their table and showed up their products. For Papon itself, we put our gadgets on the table and then let people play our prototype. Not only the US Embassy, but our exhibition was visited by the representatives of PLUS. Then, the first class was started after lunch. The speakers were from PLUS. It was about Social Entrepreneurship 101. Second class was about "Theory of Change". Third class was about Life Map. And the last class of the day was about, Social Business Model Canvas. Was it boring? Not at all! There were some reason: 1. The theme was delivered properly by PLUS. 2. Campaign team has managed the event with some fun interaction between the classes. So there were time, we, the finalists, played the game, sing along together, and many more. 3. The exercise after each class was so intense, yet it was a great experience for us! 4. And don't forget the food! It was yummyyyyy! What we got today was more than what we expected! The most important thing for us is actually the classes. But we are not bombarded with many theories and theories without action. But we did a lot of practice and have some intense discussion with the speakers and the team of PLUS. We went back to our room about 9 pm. It was a long day, but it's worth it.
