Young Changemakers Social Enterprise (YCSE) Academy 2019 is an activity that consists of a number of activities that will take place in three months, such as the launch and talk shows, coaching classesand bootcamp attended by 10 best selected social businesses nationwide, intensive mentoring with experts in the field of social business, to opportunities for participants to launch their respective social enterprises through presentation at the end of the event. This activity is a collaboration of @atamerica and Campaign. The implementation of the academy itself adopts a curriculum from the United States as a form of United States support for the growth of social enterprises in Indonesia, as well as disseminating widely the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). A basic foundation to start is by getting to know the Business Model Canvas, it is a strategic management and lean startup template for developing new or documenting existing business models. It is a visual chart with elements describing a company's or product's value proposition, infrastructure, customers, and finances. From the video lessons we have watched, the learning objectives are basically circling on the learning on startup methodology, developing your startup business, creating a business plan, identifying your markets, pitching the business ideas for inverstors through a compelling proposal. As the business grows, every participants encouraged to develop their own metrics to then measure the impact and how it works onto the issues they are trying to overcome, based on the business wise along with the social side. So then the businesses are equipped with the ability to grow and move beyond from the current level or as what we usually hear the term of ‘Getting out of the comfort zone’and expand successfully with capital security, to dedicate and contribute with realistic vision in helping not only the community but also the nation and even the world. In addition to improving the ability and quality of social business initiators in Indonesia, this activity is also expected to prepare young people to become future leaders and mentors for fellow Indonesian youth.
