This approach not only increases engagement but also ensures that grants are awarded to applicants with robust community support. The energy and enthusiasm from teachers, parents, neighbours, and children were truly inspiring. Through this campaign, 10 top-performing Early Childhood Centers (ECCs) received grants to upgrade their facilities and access comprehensive teacher training, enhancing the educational experiences of over 4,500 children. This campaign is just one example of how your support helps us make a real difference.

Secara umum, CSR dikenal di masyarakat sebagai akuntabilitas yang harus dimiliki oleh perusahaan guna meminimalkan dampak negatif dari yang dihasilkan perusahaan terhadap lingkungan dan berkontribusi positif untuk masyarakat secara keseluruhan. CSR juga merupakan cara agar perusahaan bertanggung jawab tidak hanya pada dirinya sendiri, tetapi juga kepada pemangku kepentingan dan publik.&nbsp;

Governments set the foundation for growth and progress with their extensive reach and regulatory powers. At the same time, the social sector - consisting of NGOs, nonprofits, and social enterprises - works tirelessly to address grassroots issues, ensuring that growth is inclusive and equitable. Given this context, the crucial question is how can we strengthen the collaboration between the government and social sector in Indonesia, allowing them to combine their unique strengths and work synergistically towards shared goals? We sought to address this question through a one-day capacity-building class as part of the Government Relations Development Programme for Indonesian Social Leaders (GRDP-ISL) hosted by the Chandler Institute of Governance. During this, we aimed to foster dialogue, enhance learning, and create a platform for strengthening government-social sector partnerships in Indonesia.

I am Klara Juwita Tarigan, a project leader at Sekolah Alam Medan (SAM) or Medan School of Nature.

The SAM school is made of bamboo with motto “Kind For All” means not only kind to disabilities or special needs people or low income family but also to the environment.

 We have empowered about 50 special need students and 200 children / teens from low income family to participate actively in promoting sustainable environments by projects, exhibitions, seminars and workshop. (www.ihomeschooling.or.id)

All of us are part of the nature. If we said that human being is the most clever and perfect creation, it is a compulsory for us to care and responsible for balancing the nature. Jungle  will always exist without the the jungle king, however the jungle king could not afford to live without the jungle. It’s the same with us and nature. The nature will exist without us however we could not afford to live without the nature. Let’s care, maintain, beautify it like the beauty of your heart. In the light of social business, the waste and trash business have given good impact for the stakeholders in term of psychology and economy. In this project, the first stakeholders are the special need teens, disable person and low income families. The second stakeholders are their families and relatives. The third stakeholders are local government and society. Acceptance from the society and earning gained of the stakeholders are indicators that this project works. At this moment, we plan to run Koperasi and collaborate  with other organizations. An MOU (Memorandum Of Understanding) is in process.
