We also know that to survive this pandemic we’re in, a vast number of Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia are moving gradually into e-commerce. Unfortunately, not many SMEs have a big budget to transform their business into online businesses. Now, this is where Kampung Marketer comes in.
As a social enterprise that connects the demand and supply in the field of e-commerce, the social enterprise Kampung Marketer realized the potential of rural youth who are interested in the e-commerce industry but has no where to go. But what’s potential without access and opportunity to realize it, right? Through Kampung Marketer, youth in villages are able to get training in e-commerce and digital marketing, which then sets them up for remote jobs working for SMEs. This way, SMEs get to grow their business, and young people don’t have to move to big, expensive cities to make a living. What a win-win solution!
Kampung Marketer, like many businesses, are not immune to the economic effects of this pandemic. Therefore, they have shifted their training sessions online. They have learned a lot as a social enterprise, after leaving the YCSE Academy 2.0 by @america earlier this March and experimenting with their business during the pandemic. With the knowledge they have, they would like to share some lessons learned and best practices with all of you, too!
