It turns out, these plastic bottles ended up in the sea or even pilling up in landfills. Can you imagine what is going to happen if all of us continue to do this for years to come? It is a sure thing that it will cause major environmental problems that may affect directly to our lives since many fishes have also died because of this very problem.
Spairum, as a social enterprise, cares about Indonesia’s plastic waste problem. That’s why they have created an economical, quality drinking water refill stations to offices, homes, hospitals, universites, and schools. Their technology is able to provide water for 116 people between refill times. Maybe you are wondering or worried how you can ensure water hygiene, right? Don’t worry! Spairum keeps their water hygiene by internet of things technology to monitor their water quality indicator such as the pH level and purity. Also, they use a 0,1 micrometer filter and ultraviolet light. Most importantly, they ensure the hygiene of the water in the station once a month!
